False Start
02:54
|
|
||
False start, you’re off your rocker
False start, you’ve fallen down
False start, you can’t get closure
Far cry from the meaning you were owed.
False start, you’ve met your maker
False start, you’ve fallen down
False start, but you’re not angry
Far cry from the blueprint of your eye
Follow the shadows on the road
Carry on the lullaby
Sit and listen to the shortwave
Colour in the words they made
Pull the roses off the road
Carry on the solemn psalm
For he who can’t give up the fight

My Ride with the Enemy
04:23
|
|
||
He was sad old lonely man, we used to mock him happily
He’d wear his brown hat back to front, it used to fall off often
We didn’t know what he had done, he went to fight in 45
He drove a jeep and polished shoes and mostly led a simple life
Run to stop the animals in someone else’s clothes
Having all their fun. My ride with you
It was the last day of the war, he went to fetch some expensive wine
And on the way back to the base, he put his brave old face back on
But by the time he reached the fence, the incident had taken place
He stood and watched the fumes rise high and take his brothers souls away
Run to stop the animals in someone else’s clothes
Having all their fun.
I watched you crawl around the haunted room
In someone else’s shoes from someone else’s view,
My ride with you

I Don't Know You
06:30
|
|
||
I woke up today and I logged on quick
Someone untagged my face in some old ancient pic
But I don’t know you, I don’t know you at all.
In the photograph, you were smiling hard
With your red bow tie and your deck of cards
But I don’t know you, I don’t know you at all.
Where we went to school, there was nothing wrong
With getting smacked around, when you did something wrong
But I don’t know you, I don’t know you at all.
I can still smell the grass, when they cut it short
When we ran all day, and we rolled around in the hay.
But I don’t know you, I don’t know you at all.
As I’m thinking back, I recall that day
The day you punched my face, the day you kicked me in the back
But I don’t know you, I don’t know you at all.
I don’t know you at all.
Then the bell rings clear and I shed a tear
As I see the look on my friends and peers
But I don’t know you, I don’t know you at all.
I don’t know you at all.
They said it happened quick when your neck went snap
And your dad was out when your mum got back
But I don’t you know, I don’t know you at all.
But I don’t know you at all, I don’t know you at all.

Sad today I holler at the window feeling everything went wrong.
Standing callow hoping every idea I let go will stay the same.
Father, wash the sullied from the soil.
The dawn has hit the summit at an angle wrecking everything I know.
Sad today I’m holed up in a riddle writing every thought I’ve grown
Sitting hollow hoping every reason I roped in will stay intact.
Father, wash the sullied from the soil.
The dawn has hit the summit at an angle wrecking everything I know.
Sad today a swallow hit the windowpane then everything went black
Laying static eyeing zephyr slowly letting go of its last breath.
Father, wash the sullied from the soil.
The dawn has hit the summit at an angle wrecking every though I know.

I Don't Know a Thing
03:20
|
|
||
Give me the warming sound of calling off the fight
I wanna listen to the sound of something right
I didn’t wanna take another step that way
Stating the obvious has always seemed passé
I’ll cover your dim lit side, control your mind at night
The savage inside my head with you will ride the tide.
Though everything’s different now, I’ll wrap your brow and fold it up inside
Don’t really a know thing, beside your silence I don’t a thing
Give me the warming sound of calling off the truce
I wanna listen to the sound of nothing new
I’ll cover your dim lit side, control your mind at night
The savage inside my head with you will ride the tide.
The reverie’s different now, I can wrap your brow and fold it up inside
Don’t really know a thing, beside your silence I don’t know a thing.

3-4 Eyes
03:27
|
|
||
Is there something on your mind that you left
As the wishing well was lost to your hands
I will always wonder what we could have
Could have sewn along the cause to your path
All lost in your sight
When the souls of the crowd pass you by.
And if the sails in the rain won’t levitate
Forever rest by my side
Is there something on your mind that you hacked
When the sound of the trail hit your brow
When the glas crawled out through your eyes
And the backup crossed out the files.

The White Shirt
04:50
|
|
||
I hear the veering on the ice
Watching the vines that form the colours left behind
Always waiting here for more
Looking close to catch the colours left bereft.
I don’t wanna leave behind anamneses I can’t find
I will curl up on the floor, everything will feel like wrath.
Stand in closer to the truth, it will slowly cross the room,
Come and borrow someone’s feud, everything will feel like wrath.
There the laugh was in their eyes
Waiting in line to wash the white shirt with the ties
They would seldom ask for more
Stacking up hope for what the elders had before
I don’t wanna leave behind anamnesis in my mind
It will curl up on the floor, everything will feel like wrath.
Stand in closer to the truth, it will slowly cross the room,
Come and borrow someone’s feud, everything will feel like wrath.

I Will Only Dream
03:58
|
|
||
I won’t stall, my oxygen’s late,
My next breath isn’t something to trade
I will only dream
I won’t brood; I’ve got nothing to lose
I won’t scowl cause I’m already bruised
I will only dream
Don’t let hours get you down
You won’t fly until you drown
All your time in another wave
Set your eyes on something new
I’m not cross, I’m only blue
Setting eyes on a halcyon way
Only eyes take something you can’t
It won’t stop cause it’s already planned
I will only dream
I’m not sad cause it’s already gone
It won’t stop cause they already won
I will only dream
Don’t let hours get you down
You won’t fly until you drown
All your time in another wave
Set your eyes on something new
I’m not cross, I’m only blue
Setting eyes on another wave

Walk Away
03:51
|
|
||
I wasn’t sure anymore, that the right words would come out.
I couldn’t tie my own shoes, I couldn’t handle the doubt (news)
While I’m aware of the odds, I’m sure I have them stacked up
Against me most of the time, my fallacies and troubles rhyme.
And that is proof in itself that I have most of it right
But no one cares anymore, we close and the windows and run
We shut our eyes and we run, we shut our mouths and we run
I washed my hands and walked away and never talked
About the silence in the room I never spoke.
Though I’m older now I still get sick at times
When my mind shuts down and wanders off in time
I’m not afraid anymore when memories bang on the door
I can handle the aches, not get unnerved by the stakes
And whatever may come next, I will take a deep breath
And watch the anger melt-down to a puddle on the ground
I washed my hands and walked away and never talked
About the silence in the room I never spoke.
Though I’m older now I still get stuck at times
When my mind shuts down and wanders off in time

Mutual Seasons
06:06
|
|
||
I watched the sunset from the silo, I would climb on every summer
It was something to be proud of, climbing higher than the others
But the fall cost me the season, lucky branches let me go
I will always get this ringing, I could forego, in my ears
I took the train back to the city but the noise kept coming with me
Then the noise turned into voices, then the voices tried to beat me.
But the forecast was still gleaming so I smiled and I kept dreaming
Damn that climb was worth the fall.
Damn that climb was worth the fall.
I watched the people on the platform as they climb onto the lamp-post
It was something to be scared of but I dosed off at the next stop
But my coma wasn’t over. Lucky branches set me free
I will always get this ringing I could forego in my ears.
